A 'lil' bit of Buffalo

We had a very interesting and last minute trip to Buffalo, NY last week for another dental school interview. For this interview, I was able to go on the tour of the school and talk to some current students and faculty. It seemed to be a very family oriented school, which I liked and they also get a month for summer break (which no other school has)! The trip started off rocky and continued that way through the end. We missed our first flight and were routed through Washtington D.C. where all flights were cancelled or delayed. Then one hour after we landed in Buffalo, an awful plane crash occured. On the way home we gave our seats up for a later flight and some "generous compensation". It was an adventure and we continue to do our best to seek the Lord in all decisions that are made. We appreciate your continued prayers. Hopefully we will recieve an acceptance soon!

My Precious Nama

This holiday season Jordan and I were privileged to be able to spend some time with family in San Diego. We loved seeing cousins that we had not seen in years and enjoyed many good conversations over food and football games. As some of you may know our Nama was sick and we knew that our time with her was short. Our precious Nama went to be with Jesus on the morning of January 23, 2009. She was truly an amazing woman of God and I only hope I can be half what she was in her lifetime. We are all very thankful for all of the amazing memories with her and the last blessed weekend with family. I have posted some pictures of this special time.

Back from Costa Rica

Wow, what an amazing experience. We can not thank everyone enough for all of your prayers during this time. We remained safe during the trip; God truly had his hand on us. The dental team was able to clean many set of teeth (or missing teeth) and were able to provide education on how to keep their teeth clean. As many of you know if cavities form (which is very easy when proper tooth care is not performed) the cavity can progress and become a systemic infection. The medical team also found out the lack of education these people had. We provided medical care for dog bites, rashes, fugal infections, diabetes, eye infections, the flu, and ulcers. We both felt that God used us to the best of our ability in this place. Again thank-you for all of your prayers!

Leaving for Costa Rica

Please pray for us as we emark on a medical/dental adventure to Costa Rica! We do not know what to expect as this is the first time this group will go to Costa Rica. The two of us have really had our hands full the past couple of weeks. Along with preparing for this trip Kristin has been finishing the semester and Jordan has been preparing/attending dental school interviews. We are doing our best to seek God's will for our lives in all that we do. We love you all!

Our Wedding was amazing thanks to all of our wonderful family and friends who joined us. It was such an amazing experience to have all of the people who loved us most in one place. We spent our honeymoon in Lake Tahoe before we came back to Fresno to begin school and work!
